Remembering Kristin Guiney

We in the Harris County criminal justice community are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our most distinguished and respected colleagues, Kristin Guiney.

Kristin devoted her professional life to public service, serving as a prosecutor, district court judge, and appellate court judge. Throughout her remarkable career, she earned the respect and admiration of those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Beyond her many professional accomplishments, Kristin was a respected lawyer, devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend and colleague. Her contributions to our legal community and the lives she touched will not be forgotten.

She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all those whose lives were enriched by knowing her. Please view a wonderful tribute to Kristin by Murray Newman at Life at the Harris County Criminal Courthouse
