Trent Dressen

September 26, 2017 – Harris County Assistant District Attorney Trent Dressen will be leaving the office after serving for one year and will become an assistant DA in Dallas County.  Trent is getting married this weekend to Ashley Alexander (pictured above) and it was easier for Trent to move to Dallas than for Ashley to move to Houston.  He begins work in Dallas on October 9th.  His comrades threw him a little going away party.   They were happy he was getting married!

Pictured back row left-right – Becky Marshall, Shanice Newton, Cheryl Brown, Trent Dressen, Cyndi Perez, Dana Fernandez-Gonzalez, Chandler Raine, Tyler White and Tara Parker.  Front row – Christine Lu and Leah Leal.   They were also very sad that he was leaving them!

September 20, 2017 – For all the “old dogs” out there: a reunion will be held October 1, 2017.  Good chance to catch up and talk about old times!

September 11, 2017 HURRICANE HARVEY – The Harris County misdemeanor and felony courts were closed from August 26, 2017 to September 10, 2017 due to the devastating flooding of the Criminal Justice Center and Jury Assembly Room.  My hats off to all the judges, DAs, coordinators, court reporters, bailiffs, clerks, probation officers and other county employees for their exceptional work moving everything from the flooded Criminal Justice Center to multiple buildings within a couple block radius to create a criminal justice campus – all in one week.  All court dockets have resumed in temporary buildings and jury trials should resume sometime after September 25th.   Below is a breakdown of all the courts dockets.  Patience will be the key word.
