Disclaimer

The purpose of this blog is to publish the good work of my colleagues at the Harris County Criminal Justice Center in Houston, Texas.  I devote approximately 30 hours of my time per week to gather the information posted on this blog.

I get paid nothing for doing this blog.  Google ads appear on the page but at 1 penny a pop it takes over 2 years to earn $100.

I gather my information by using the Harris County District Clerk’s website and by personal observation at the criminal courthouse.  The information may not be totally accurate and I apologize if I make any errors.  My email and phone number are located at the top of the page for anybody to correct me if I am wrong.

Attorneys are cautioned not to rely on the accuracy or reliability of my statistics herein for State Bar advertising purposes, see State Bar Rule of Professional Responsibility 7.02 (a)

I MAKE NO CLAIMS AS TO WHO IS THE BEST ATTORNEY, WINNING-EST ATTORNEY, ATTORNEY MOST LIKELY TO GET A CASE DISMISSED, OR ATTORNEY MOST LIKELY TO WIN A VERDICT.  If you choose an attorney based on the information on my blog it is at your own risk!

I make no conclusions about the data provided.  I simply state the facts and let the reader decide what the facts might mean.

My information is at the mercy of the district clerk’s website.  If they don’t publish the information, I will not know about it – therefore, my information may not be accurate since they DO NOT ALWAYS publish the information I want.

I publish trial verdicts, in-trial dismissals and pleas, felony dismissals, trial setting dismissals and spreadsheets pertaining to verdicts won by prosecutors and defense attorneys along with a judge spreadsheet enumerating the number of trials and results.

I  publish jury verdicts along with the names and photos of the winning lawyer.  Our intention is to give credit to litigators for winning a trial and we offer to delete, correct, add, subtract or any other request should a winning litigant want certain information changed.  Our email is posted on the Verdict post.  Our desire is to give praise to those who work so hard to get justice by winning a trial in the courtroom.

All email addresses will remain confidential.  It will not be intentionally used to identify the sender.  The sender and the email address will remain confidential unless the sender wishes names to be used for a good story.

I will discriminate which comments to post.  Not all comments will be posted and we are not obligated to post your comment.  We also reserve the right to delete a comment should it become necessary.
